#BETTY BOOP BLACK TATTOO SERIES#
Boop first appeared in the Talkartoon series in an episode entitled “Dizzy Dishes.” Boop was originally animated as a French poodle, but then was created as a flapper girl by 1932 in the cartoon “Any Rags.” She was greatly inspired by singer and actress Helen Kane, who sued Fleischer over Boop’s now iconic “Boop Oop a Doop” line. Betty Boop was created by animator Max Fleischer in 1930 with the help of Grim Natwick. Before there was Jessica Rabbit or Holli Would, Betty Boop was the OG animated vixen.
